Lucid Motors is getting up to speed with the Air, but that firstborn won’t be alone for long. In November it’s time to meet the Lucid Gravity, the SUV brother of the Air.

The Lucid Air is causing a stir with its immense driving range, but it won’t be alone for long. An SUV from the American brand is also coming. That is the Lucid Gravity, a model already announced in 2020 and then also partly shown. A year later, AutoWeek could exclusively show you the production version via some surfaced patent sketches, but an official and full disclosure has still not come. That will change in November, CEO Peter Rawlinson reveals in conversation with Yahoo Finance.

In the penultimate month of the year, the curtain finally falls on the car that on paper looks just as promising as its older sedan brother Air. Lucid previously stated that the Gravity will be the electric SUV with the largest range in the world. He just wouldn’t get past the Air. In that case, count on a maximum range of 840 km according to the EPA cycle, or a WLTP range of approximately 900 km. Yes, the already impressive 707 km of the Fisker Ocean probably has to do when it comes to the electric SUV with the longest driving range.

Lucid Motors Project Gravity

The first Lucid Gravity we got to see in 2020.

Expect a particularly short 0-100 km/h sprint from the Lucid Gravity; in its strongest form, the Air is good for a sprint in about 2 seconds thanks to a combined 1,111 hp electric motors. There will undoubtedly also be ‘milder’ variants, with at least 480 hp. Would you like to bring a lot of people? Then you can sign for a seven-seater Gravity. The American market introduction is in 2024, it is not yet certain whether the Lucid Gravity will also be available here. Given that the Air is available here, we expect the Gravity to follow.
