More than half of the driving schools indicate that they will increase the rates for both driving lessons and the practical exam in 2022. This is apparent from research by Rijschool Pro, the professional magazine for the driving school industry.
The Central Bureau for Driving Licenses (CBR) will increase most of its rates from next year, with the result that the majority of driving schools will also increase their prices next year. This is evident from its own research by Rijschool Pro. In a survey, 65 percent of driving schools indicate that they will increase the rates for both driving lessons and the practical exam B next year.
In 2020, 48 percent of driving schools indicated that they would increase the rates with effect from calendar year 2021. This is striking, given that the CBR raised the price of practical exam B by €7.50 at the time and that price increase will be €2.50 next year. A practical exam B will cost a driving school €122.50 next year instead of €120.
9 percent of driving schools indicate that they will not adjust their prices next year. 7 percent only increases the price of the driving lessons, while 17 percent of the driving schools indicate that they only increase the exam rate.
