Is the text in Word too small to read? Then zoom in to view the letters larger.
Enlarge text in Word
When you open a Word file, you see the letters in the size that the creator of the file has set. This is usually font size 12. For some, that is just too small to read the text. Is that the case for you too? Zoom in on the text using the mouse wheel or the scroll bar in Word.
Zoom in with the mouse
- Press and hold the Ctrl key on the keyboard.
- Turn the mouse wheel away from you.
- Word now zooms in and shows the letters larger than just. Rotate until the text is legible. Then release the Ctrl key and the mouse wheel.
Zooming out, ie making the text smaller, works in a similar way. Just turn the wheel toward you to zoom out.
Zoom in via Word
Zooming in and out is easy with the scroll bar in Word. Do this like this:
- Look at the bottom right of Word. There is a scroll bar with percentages next to it.
- Drag the slider on the bar to the right to zoom in.
- Drag the slider to the left to zoom out.
- It is also possible to click on the plus or minus sign to make the letters larger or smaller.
Zoom in and zoom out can be used as often as needed. The file itself does not change. The letters remain the same size as they were, only they are easier to see.
