Manhart sends the BMW X3 M to the gym. The SUV is still a heavyweight, but does get a good chunk of extra muscle from its blown 3.0 six-in-line.
The inspiration for this super-SUV, which is limited to ten copies, seems to have taken Manhart away from Alpina. That is not very surprising, because Manhart removes the 22-inch multi-spoke wheels from the shelves of the well-known BMW tastemaker. Furthermore, the blue color and the striping resemble an Alpina, although the MHX3 is not exactly subtle. The many Manhart logos and carbon fiber exterior parts ensure that: under the front bumper is a splitter, at the rear a diffuser and a larger roof spoiler provide the external finery. In addition, the MHX3 is equipped with a sports exhaust system with carbon fiber tailpipes.
In addition to the external adjustments, Manhart increases the power of the X3 M to 635 hp and 785 Nm of torque. Compared to the standard version, that means a power gain of 125 hp and 135 Nm. Furthermore, the MHX3 is 30 mm closer to the asphalt than the original. The brakes and the interior are still original, but if desired Manhart can offer individual adjustments. Incidentally, the tuning package is also available for the X4 M. Manhart does not mention what the MHX3 600, which is limited to 10 copies. As far as is known, the tuner does not yet have a tuning package for the facelifted X3 and X4 M.
