A marking function is useful for emphasizing important information in texts, so that you can find relevant details quickly. It helps to organize information by using different colors, which increases clarity. In addition, marking makes the text more visually attractive and can increase efficiency.
Mark text in the notes app
Marking a certain piece of text in a note is very simple under iOS, iPados and macOS. You just have to know where you can find the functions. However, with the help of the steps below, that will not be a problem:

- Open a note in the notes app.
- Select the text you want to mark.
- Tap or click on the Aa button This gives you access to the formatting menu. Below iOS this button is present above the keyboard, under macOS it can be found on the top of the window.
- Select the pencil with stripe symbol.
- Select the color that you want to use (purple, pink, orange, mint green or blue) to mark the selected text.
After selecting, the text is immediately provided with the chosen marking. The markings are automatically synchronized to all your other Apple devices using iCloud.
Unsubscribe text marking in the notes app
If you want to remove markings in a text, then that is of course also possible in the notes app. The note in the notes app.Select the text that is marked.tik or click on the Aa button This gives you access to the formatting menu. Deactivate the pencil with stripe symbol to remove the marking.
The text marking has now been removed and the text is shown again in the standard text Format.
