Maserati made its debut in motorsport exactly 95 years ago today. 28 years later, the brand entered the F1 playing field with the legendary Juan Manuel Fangio, who took the necessary victories with the 250F. To honor that history in racing, the brand now comes with a special version for the Ghibli and the Levante.
The name ‘F Tributo Special Edition’ can therefore be explained quite simply. The ‘F’ stands for Fangio and ‘Tributo’ is a tribute. For the special edition, Maserati offers a choice of two exclusive colors: Rosso Tributo and Azzurro Tributo. Red was chosen because it was traditionally the color of Ferrari’s racing cars and the color blue is one of the colors of the city of Modena. In addition, the Ghibli F Tributo stands on black 21-inch Titano wheels with a yellow rim flange. The Levante rolls on Anteo wheels that are the same size and color scheme as the wheels on the Ghibli.
The yellow is also reflected on the brake calipers and is a reference to the yellow accents on the 250F from Fangio. This makes this special edition quite striking. Other exterior details include F Tributo logos on the sides and the body-colored trident logo on the C-pillars. The interior is characterized by black leather with red or yellow stitching. Maserati Netherlands reports to Techzle that the Ghibli GranSport and S Q4 and the Levante GranSport and GranSport S will be available in F Tributo gear. The variant is therefore also coming to our country. Prices are not yet known at the time of writing.
