MaskAid: Automatically hide faces in photos (unrecognizable with emojis)

You would rather not be recognizable with some photos that you post online. Then MaskAid is the perfect app for you, because it allows you to automatically hide faces in photos.

When you want to share a nice photo of your group of friends or your children online in a public WhatsApp group, Facebook community or perhaps in a Discord, it is sometimes better not to be recognizable in the picture.

Now you can get started with the built-in ‘Markers’ feature in photos, but it’s not really made for hiding faces easily.

You can still adjust the emojis that MaskAid puts on the faces in your photos. And if you don’t want to provide everyone with a ‘smiley’, you can also choose to remove some emojis again. Read below how the app works.

  1. Start the app and tap ‘Create an image’ at the bottom;

  2. Select the photo on which you want to automatically hide the faces;

  3. MaskAid automatically pastes an emoji on the faces, but you sometimes have to adjust the size yourself;

  4. Tap the share icon and save the photo or share it directly in the app of your choice.

With a tap on the plus sign you add an emoji. By selecting an emoji and tapping the trash can, you remove an emoji. In the free version, you only have a choice of one emoji. But there are no restrictions in the app to automatically hide faces in your photos. Want to use all emojis? Then the app costs 2.99 euros once.
