In addition to our usual collection of watches from well-known brands, we are also happy to introduce (still) unknown microbrands to the Dutch market. Because it is precisely at these brands that you will find special quality watches with which you as a wearer can really make a statement. May I introduce you to Ligure watches?
Made by real experts for the real enthusiast
Summer 2019, Liguria; Three Dutch friends – all working in the (luxury) watch industry for decades – met on a terrace on the beautiful Italian coast. Talking about their experiences and dreams for the future, the plan arose to develop their own watch.
The area where the men and women meet is the inspiration. Sailing or diving during the day and dining and strolling on the chic boulevard in the evening.
This is how the contours of the Ligure watch were created: with all the qualities of a good water sports watch, and with the appearance of a sporty dress watch. A watch made for a gentleman. Understated chic, not flashy and of high quality for a competitive price.

High-quality components and sublime details
The development of Ligure watches did not happen overnight, because the makers did not want to make any concessions to the appearance and quality they desired. That is why it was quickly decided to keep everything in-house. With some help from their impressive network, they have managed to design all parts themselves – except for the purchased Swiss movements – and have them manufactured in Switzerland. The watches are also assembled by hand in Germany.
You can see from the details of the watch that this was a good decision.
The case has a so-called ‘tartaruga’ (turtle) shape with defined sides, but without sharp edges. This makes it very comfortable to wear and with a size of 41 mm it is also very suitable for women. There is a relief of Italy on the back of the case.
The flexible, quick release silicone strap appears integrated with the case by a ‘roof’ on the case, covering the space between case and strap. On the inside, the tire has the profile of a Pirelli rain tire to wick away moisture, which increases wearing comfort. The steel strap has an adjustable Rachet diving clasp.

There is also a special story behind the luminous indexes. These are ‘applique’, which means that they lie on the dial. The indexes are filled with Swiss super LumiNova X-grade. The very best quality of luminosity available. This guarantees proper reading of the time in the dark throughout the night.
Due to the unique style element of the red line, it proved very difficult to apply the lume (the luminous material) without it running over the line. Only after nine months was a manufacturer found who could do this!
Another detail: the date window fits subtly and precisely into the 3-hour index.

The specifications of a diving watch
You can already see it from the Ligure logo, which is a stylized PADI diving flag. You can dive with Ligure watches, because they are 20 ATM waterproof, have a screw-down case back, a screw-down crown and a unidirectional rotating bezel. But the Ligure watch also comes into its own on dry land. The classic diving watch look combined with subtle shape elements give the watch an elegant-sporty look that would not look out of place in a bar or club.

Luxury packaging with extras
A lot of attention has also been paid to the packaging of the watches. All Ligure watches are delivered in a large box with a handy travel case. You also get an extra strap made of water-resistant sailing cloth and leather, and a key ring with float. Handy if your key falls into the water.

Limited ‘Founders Edition’
For the introduction of the Ligure brand, two ‘Founders Edition’ GMT watches, limited to 50 pieces, have been released. These watches have an automatic ETA 2893 movement and the Founders Edition inscription on the dial. After registering the watch, the buyer will receive a numbered certificate.
