The annual MediaMarkt VAT days have started again. That means more than 17 percent discount on thousands of items, from TVs to speakers and refrigerators. Check out the handy overview here.
MediaMarkt VAT days 2022: check the best offers
To end January in a good way, MediaMarkt traditionally organizes the VAT days: during these days you pay temporarily no VAT So you get a big discount on your purchase.
The promotion is now running until Sunday 30 January 11:59 p.m. During this period it is sometimes difficult to physically go to the store, but the webshop is of course available 24 hours a day. Many products are included, but there is also a list of devices that are excluded.
Unfortunately, Apple is part of that again this year, although you can take advantage of HomeKit products, a new wearable or new earphones for your iPhone.
Not a 21 percent discount, but 17.36 percent
You temporarily don’t pay VAT, but that doesn’t mean you get a 21 percent discount, as many people think. The final discount is 17.36 percent.
Example: if a product costs 242.00 euros, that price consists of 200 euros for the product and another 42.00 euros in VAT (21 percent). During the promotional period, MediaMarkt pays 42.00 euros; a discount of 17.36 percent on the total amount of 242 euros.
Headphones and earbuds
Unfortunately, you will not find the AirPods 3 with a discount, but there are plenty of other earplugs that you can get with a discount. You will also find popular noise canceling headphones from Bose to regular headphones. As far as audio is concerned, there are plenty of products to choose from during the MediaMarkt VAT days.
