Mercedes-AMG EQS on display for the first time

Few Benzen can escape AMG treatment. Mercedes’ new electric flagship will also get a version that the gentlemen and ladies of AMG have interfered with. The Mercedes-AMG EQS can be seen for the first time in these spy photos.

Mercedes’ AMG division highlighted its electrification plans at the end of March. It became clear that AMG does not only come with very potent plug-in hybrids. There will also be fully electric AMGs. These EVs naturally share their basis with electric models from Mercedes-Benz. It strongly seems that this set of spy photos shows the AMG version of the absolute cream of the electric car salmon.

At the Nürburgring-Nordschleife you can see a wrapped EQS, a car that hides its undoubtedly sportier bumpers through a sticker layer. If you look closely, you will see that this jet-black EQS has perforated brake discs and AMG brake calipers behind the front light-alloy.

The EQS will soon be available in various power variants. Not only will there be a 333 hp EQS 450+, but also a 524 hp EQS 580 4Matic. Mercedes-Benz already indicated that there is also an AMG version of the EQS in the barrel and that there will be at least an EQS on the market with 763 hp of electrical power. That must almost be the AMG version that is put to the test at the Nürburgring. We do not yet know what the AMG version will be called.
