The now three-year-old Mercedes-Benz GLE is waiting for a facelift. For the second time this year, a prototype of the renewed GLE has surfaced, on which we can see just a little more than before.
Owners of the currently available Mercedes-Benz GLE need not fear the residual value of the current GLE. Mercedes tackles it quite subtly in terms of external changes, as we see again.
As the placement of the camouflage patches gives away to some extent, the Germans mainly focus on the lighting and bumpers in the changes. Thanks to slightly less exuberant plastering, we see that the headlights get a slightly different signature. It is a bit more difficult to see at the back, but expect slightly modified light units here too. The front and rear bumpers are also slightly overhauled. Furthermore, it is especially recognisable. There is therefore no question of a relatively large change of course, as was the case with the E-class. Count on revised infotainment in the interior, although it will undoubtedly also be a familiar sight there.
While we were previously cautiously committed to a unveiling in 2021, we can now say that 2022 is more realistic. We expect to be able to welcome the modified GLE in the first half of the new year. Incidentally, the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupé is also directly included in the renewal round.
