Nice exchange

Mercedes-Benz cars will soon be able to take some of the driving out of the driver’s hands. As an extension to the adaptive cruise control, Mercedes will soon also be able to change lanes independently.
With adaptive cruise control, driving on the highway in particular has already become a lot more relaxed, but there are undoubtedly people who want to do even less. Mercedes-Benz meets them, because the new Mercedes-Benz E-class introduces an addition to the Distronic, extensive adaptive cruise control. This allows the car to change lanes independently.
Between speeds of 80 km/h and 140 km/h, the car can decide for itself whether it is wise to overtake a slow-moving vehicle in front and then arranges this itself. So as a driver you don’t have to do anything, the car itself checks whether there is space and whether it is desirable to overtake someone. The automatic lane change will be used for the first time in Europe in the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class. In North America, this feature is already available in the C- and S-Class and in the electric EQ models, so count on it here in Europe sooner or later.
