Are you in the market for a Jeep Gladiator, but are you not looking forward to the diesel-powered version that Jeep carries in Europe? Then the Italian Militem may have a suitable solution in the form of the Ferox T.
Militem is a – mainly optical – tuner that specializes in models of Ram and Jeep. The Ferox T is the latest achievement of the Italians. The model is based on the Jeep Gladiator, the pickup version of the Wrangler. The Ferox T is still clearly recognizable as a Jeep, but is a lot more intimidating. The front bumper protrudes more and contains an LED bar above the number plate, the grille has a notch at the top with the Militem logo and the fenders are a lot wider. They can accommodate 20-inch wheels with all-terrain tires. Thanks to a lift kit, the Ferox T is also 5 centimeters higher on its legs than the standard Gladiator and Militem mounts other shock absorbers.
The list of customizations doesn’t stop there. If desired, the tuner places a roll bar with folding LED bars behind the cab. It is also possible to have a roof rack with integrated LED lighting screwed onto the roof. Inside the Ferox T it is a party of hand applied leather and Alcantara. You can search in vain for Jeep logos, because Militem emphatically leaves its own mark.
Militem Ferox T
In terms of motor, Militem does not change anything about the Gladiator: under the hood is the 288 hp and 353 Nm strong 3.6 Pentastar V6. Militem does provide the Ferox T with a modified exhaust. The choice for that power source is also remarkable, because Jeep only carries the Gladiator in Europe with the 264 hp and 600 Nm strong 3.0 MultiJet V6 diesel. Those who prefer petrol power under the hood apparently no longer have to import gray themselves. In the press release, Militem completely ignores the diesel.
Interested? Then you can make the cut, because in Italy the Ferox T costs €97,490 excluding taxes. For comparison: a Gladiator with a diesel engine is available in the country of pasta and pizza from €55,110.
