No direct successor

The Mini Clubman does not seem to have a very long life anymore. It will be over in about a year and we should not expect a successor, as the Mini insiders understand MotoringFile.
About a year to go and then after more than 16 years it will be over and out for the modern Mini Clubman, says MotoringFile. It has information showing that Mini will end production of the Clubman in the first quarter of 2024, specifically February 2024. There is no sign of life of a new Mini Clubman and you don’t have to hope for that . The Clubman is essentially handing over the baton to a new family member that we will be introduced to this year: the all-electric Mini Aceman. Just like the Clubman, a bigger brother of the Mini hatchback, but not as big a boy as the Countryman.
The first modern Clubman
The modern Mini Clubman appeared in 2007 and then in 2015 a new generation was introduced. A more practical alternative to the three-door Mini in particular, but at the same time also historically sound. After all, you used to have the Clubman Estate and a bit earlier the Traveler as a station wagon version of the Mini. The modern version also had rear doors, although these were still the case with the first generation suicide doors. The current generation got full doors. This made it more practical and the second generation became significantly more popular here in the Netherlands. The peak year was 2016, when 1,528 were sold. After 2019, the counter remained below 1,000 units on an annual basis and last year sales did not exceed 525 units. Incidentally, there was recently news for the Mini Clubman for the first time in a long time, with the arrival of the Untold Edition.
