Mini comes with electric John Cooper Works models

The Mini Electric is currently the only fully electric Mini. Things will be different in the future. Mini indicates that it has ears for electric John Cooper Works models!

Mini will eventually come with an electric version of the next generation Countryman, but it will not stop there. The brand says it also likes sporty John Cooper Works models with an electric powertrain.

Mini talks about John Cooper Works models, but says it will first focus on the development of the Mini John Cooper Works Electric, a three-door model that you should actually see as the sportier version of the Mini Electric. The current Mini Electric has 184 hp and is able to sprint to a speed of 100 km / h for 7.3 counts. In terms of power, that version is somewhat comparable to the Cooper S. The John Cooper Works is a nice step above that with its 231 hp and 320 kilometers. A John Cooper Works version with an electric powertrain will certainly not be inferior to the petrol version.

Mini also has a 306 hp superlative on the menu of the current three-door Mini: the John Copper Works GP. This version can be recognized from the outside, among other things, by its exuberant body kit, complete with wild attachments around the wheel arches and a heavy rear spoiler. It is striking that the prototype in the photos that Mini shows of his electrical muscle bundle is dressed in a similar way. Whether that means that we immediately have to count on a fierce John Cooper Works GP with an electro heart remains to be seen. The fact that Mini talks about “electric John Cooper Works models” gives hope. That would certainly be a good seasoning.
