Mini is not averse to introducing special versions. The next in line is the ‘Resolute Edition’, which includes a previously exclusive color for the John Cooper Works to the less favored models. It is quite conceivable that this is also the last special version for the current generation Mini.
With the ‘Resolute Edition’ Mini is in any case resolute when it comes to the paint color. The special version is only available in ‘Rebel Green’, a color that was previously only available on the Mini John Cooper Works (JCW). The ‘Resolute Edition’ combines that color with a roof and mirror caps in the color ‘Pepper White’. That does not apply to the convertible, of course: it gets black mirror caps. Optionally, the roof and mirror caps are also available in black. The exterior accents, such as the grille surround, headlights and taillights, are finished in ‘Resolute Bronze’. This is not without reason: in the context of sustainability, Mini wants to reduce the use of chrome on future models.
The ‘Resolute Bronze’ can also be found on the air intakes and the fuel cap on the Cooper S. Also, the Resolute Edition has special bonnet stripes with small lines in it. The Resolute rolls standard on 18-inch alloy wheels, for the Mini Electric those are 17-inch ‘Electric Collection Spoke’ wheels. In the interior, the door sills and the steering wheel have a Resolute lettering. Furthermore, the standard sports seats are made in a combination of ‘Black Pearl’ and ‘Light Checkered fabric’. In the variants with a fixed roof, the headliner is in anthracite. The Resolute also has special interior panels and mood lighting.
The standard equipment of the Resolute Edition includes the Steptronic Sport automatic transmission, the Comfort Plus, Driving Assistant and Connected Navigation package and a theft alarm. The special version is available on the three- and five-door versions of the Cooper and Cooper S, the Mini Electric and the Mini Cooper and Cooper S Convertible. The starting price of the three-door Cooper as Resolute is €37,490, the Cooper S costs at least €43,990 and for the Mini Electric you will lose at least €40,490. The Resolute Edition will be available from March. It is not inconceivable that the Resolute Edition is a goodbye edition for the current generation Mini, because the new model is already eager behind the scenes.
