Conditionally
Mitsubishi is extending the recently extended warranty period. You are now also eligible for an eight-year warranty with older Mitsubishi cars. Under certain conditions, of course.
In September, Mitsubishi extended its warranty period by three years – under certain conditions. From that moment on, new models from the brand did not receive a five-year, but an eight-year warranty (up to 160,000 kilometers). Mitsubishi now also makes this long term available for models up to eight years old. All Mitsubishis delivered since 2016 are now eligible for an eight-year warranty.
As with new models, the long warranty consists of a five-year factory warranty (up to 100,000 kilometers), which can be supplemented with an additional three years’ warranty (up to 160,000 kilometers). You only get that extra if your Mitsubishi is being maintained by official dealers or service points recognized by the Japanese.
The warranty only applies to cars officially supplied by Mitsubishi Motor Sale Netherlands (MMSN). Do you have an exotic import Mitsubishi? Then you can write the extra guarantee on your stomach. Curious about the conditions? You can find it here.
