Mazda is implementing a model year update on the CX-30. Mazda adapts the standard equipment of the CX-30 and gives the Skyactiv-X power source even more power.
Mazda is one of those brands that gives its models a small update every year to keep things nice and fresh and up to date. This time, the CX-30 introduced last year is undergoing a model year update. The biggest news? The ingenious Skyactiv-X engine, like the other mild-hybrid engine option, gets an ‘e’ for its name, but also gets more power.
The mild-hybrid Skyactiv-X is now called e-Skyactiv X, but mild-hybrid was the special power source. However, the e-Skyactiv X does get 6 hp and 15 Nm, which brings the power to 186 hp and 240 Nm. The 122 hp and 213 Nm powerful e-Skyactiv-G petrol version does not receive any additional power, but, like the modified Skyactiv-X, emits less CO2.

As mentioned, Mazda is also reviewing the standard equipment of the CX-30. From now on, the crossover no longer has dark blue artificial leather on the center armrest and door panels as standard, and the dashboard is no longer standard in that color. From now on everything is finished in black. The Comfort version has an interior finished in black as standard, but is optionally available with dark brown leather. The electrically operated tailgate is no longer standard on the Comfort version. The Luxury version remains completely itself and is therefore standard equipped with the dark brown interior trim and the electrically operated tailgate.
The starting price of the Mazda CX-30 is € 30,990. That amount is for the Mazda CX-30 with e-Skyactiv 122 petrol engine in combination with a manual six-speed gearbox. For the basic version with this powertrain in combination with a six-speed automatic transmission you have to count on an amount of € 33,490. The CX-30 E-Skyactiv G is also available as Comfort and has an additional cost of € 1,250. Prefer the now more powerful e-Skyactiv-X? Then count on an amount of € 34,240 for the Comfort version in combination with a manual gearbox and front-wheel drive. This engine version is also available with an automatic transmission. In addition, the e-Skyactiv-X is also available with four-wheel drive, although you are always dependent on the Luxury version. You can choose from both the automatic transmission and the manual gearbox. The Mazda CX-30 of model year 2021 will be at dealers in January.
