More powerful Volkswagen Golf R on the way?

The Volkswagen Golf R does not really lack power with its 320 hp, but it still seems that a version is coming up. In it, the 2.0 TSI would deliver almost 334 hp.

The unveiling of the Volkswagen Golf R is now three months behind us. The sporty top version is already being put to the test in various places, including in the United Kingdom. There got Youtuber and Volkswagen fan Volkswizard a manual of the Golf in the hands of a test of a Golf GTI. He went all the way through it with all his enthusiasm and found something special in the list of motorisations. Under the well-known 320 hp 2.0 TSI, which is of course for the Golf R, there was another power source with converted almost 334 hp power. 14 hp more. The maximum torque at 420 Nm is the same as that of the Golf R.

As seen above, there is nothing about the type this block comes in. Logically, this is an extra fast version of the Golf R. There have been rumors for some time about a ‘Golf R Plus’, which according to some even 400 hp would be available. It does not seem to be such a party, but perhaps this is a sign of life for a Golf R Plus. The regular Golf R has only just arrived, so it will probably take a while before the extra fast implementation gets the green light in Wolfsburg. It may also be a limited edition. We wait anxiously.
