MV Agusta looks back on a very successful year

One year after announcing the strategic partnership with Pierer Mobility AG, MV Agusta looks back on a very successful year and fruitful start to the new collaboration with Europe’s largest manufacturer from Mattighofen.

MV Agusta looks back on a very successful year

It has already been a year since a strategic partnership was announced between MV Agusta and PIERER Mobility AG. Stefan Pierer was given a stake in MV Agusta, in exchange for which I could immediately use synergies, processes and strengths, which, according to the Italians, immediately achieved incredible results.

In the past twelve months, MV Agusta launched five new models: the LXP Orioli, according to MV the world’s first luxury off-road motorcycle, the iconic Superveloce 98, the amazing Brutale 1000 RR Assen (that name alone), the limited edition Dragster RR SCS America and the super exclusive 6-unit Superveloce Arsham, a true work of art.

Looking back on this special year, according to MV Agusta, there are a number of milestones worth mentioning and celebrating:

New production line
The latest milestone is represented by the new production line with which MV Agusta is now ramping up its industrial activities. The new line will produce up to a thousand bicycles per month. The new line is located in the historic MV Agusta factory in Schiranna and features the most advanced technology in this field.

MV Agusta’s craftsmen, who still assemble each model by hand, will be assisted by a fully automated line management system to handle, move and correctly position the units along the 28 workstations, with particular attention to ergonomics and safety. This is the first major investment for MV Agusta in several years, as part of its new and ambitious industrial plan.

Initial production will be approximately 1,000 units per month, but the new line has a total capacity of 100 bicycles per day and there are plans to gradually increase production to meet demand.

Timur Sardarov, CEO of MV Agusta Motor SpA, said:

“I am so excited about the launch of this new line here, at our historic factory in Italy, while many other industries are relocating or even reducing production. All the efforts we have made in recent years are coming together and we are now seeing some very concrete results, with growing numbers and the increasing success of our latest models. This is an investment not only in our own operations, but also in this community and in our people.”

4 year manufacturer’s warranty

Another crucial milestone was introduced in the first half of 2023, when MV Agusta launched a four-year manufacturer’s warranty for all model year 2023 bikes. This strategic decision reflects the brand’s commitment to a customer-centric approach. The extended warranty not only enhances MV Agusta’s customer experience, but also serves as a tangible testament to the company’s unwavering confidence in its fully Italian-made motorcycles and the rigorous processes each motorcycle undergoes.

24/7 roadside assistance

MV Agusta also offers lifetime 24/7 roadside assistance, activated with the purchase of a new MV Agusta in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Spain and the United Kingdom. According to MV, the list of countries will be further expanded in the future.

The 24/7 roadside assistance ensures that MV Agusta customers are relieved in the event of a breakdown, ranging from on-site repairs and towing to authorized dealers to technical assistance, transport to the desired destination and a variety of additional services such as replacement vehicles, repatriation of the vehicle from abroad and accommodation.

MV Agusta also says this year it has laid the foundation for an incredible 2024.

Stronger and extensive dealer network

In 2024, MV Agusta’s dealer network will expand, with the aim of having 200 active dealers by mid-year, with a focus on the most relevant markets. For example, MV Agusta’s home market of Italy will benefit from 21 official dealers by 2024, which will be supported by authorized service centers. This gives customers access to trained technicians to service their MV Agustas. The dealer network will also be expanded in other markets such as the US, where more than 40 dealers will be active by 2024, Germany, the UK, France and more.

System integration

All integrations with PIERER Mobility AG systems will also be completed in 2024. In order for KTM to distribute all MV Agusta products, a large number of integrations were required: from logistics and inventory software to IT and dealer management tools. These integrations will be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2024, significantly reducing delivery time for parts, motorcycles and services and resulting in a greatly improved customer experience.

Strengthened customer-oriented approach:

MV Agusta strives to know every customer by name and with this goal in mind, a series of initiatives will be launched in 2024. An exciting example of this is the reintroduction of factory tours. MV Agusta will open the doors of its only production factory in Italy.

Existing customers and MV Agusta fans will be able to visit the factory with guided tours organized by MV Official Agusta dealers. Such initiatives will provide MV Agusta customers with the unique opportunity to witness how every MV Agusta motorcycle in the world is hand-built in Italy and get to know the people behind these engineering masterpieces.

New models are coming:

During 2024, MV Agusta fans will be pleased with new exciting models, such as the Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro, which was shown at EICMA in the final stages of development. More works of art on two wheels will be launched and more information will follow in the coming months.

Luca Martin, board member and COO of MV Agusta Motor SpA:

“As we look back at the beginning of 2023, we are amazed at the number of changes, implementations and improvements that have been made during this first year in partnership with KTM. Was it all perfect? No. We always strive for perfection and are therefore proud of what has been done, but at the same time we are acutely aware of what can be further improved.

We are fully aware that our customers have experienced challenges such as the delay in the delivery of parts or the renewed dealer network that has not had optimal penetration in the area. I would like to take this opportunity to once again let our customers and fans know that we listen to them, and that every decision we make is based on one singular goal: putting our customers first.

When we decided to restart the entire dealer network, we were aware that this would have caused disruptions at the beginning of the process, but we are also confident that such a decision has put MV Agusta on the right track to provide the best customer experience in the future. future. The dealer network will expand further in 2024, with improved penetration, our product ambassadors and technicians at each individual dealership are extensively trained and the selection process for entrepreneurs to work with MV Agusta is very strict. Customers are central to our approach and we have a lot to do to achieve that.

The same applies to the availability of parts. The warehouse and system integration with PIERER Mobility AG has taken a significant amount of time and caused temporary disruptions, but such a process will be completed in early 2024 and such challenges for our customers will come to an end. I personally believe that transparency is the best way to create a healthy relationship with our customers and fans and that is why I wanted to take this opportunity to openly address the challenges our customers have faced in 2023 and thank them for their passion and love.”
