After announcing the bike earlier this week, MV Agusta presented the limited edition Superveloce AGO at the Misano circuit. 311 of the Superveloce AGO are produced, equal to the number of Grand Prix victories that Giacomo Agostini has achieved in his career.
A Superveloce, but with plenty of exclusive parts and a unique color scheme based on the MV Agusta that Agostini was unapproachable with in the 1960s, produced in a limited edition and with the signature of the legend. That is the new MV Agusta Superveloce AGO in a nutshell.
Most striking is the particularly well-successful color scheme of the carbon fiber streamline, where, remarkably enough, the bracket over the windshield is missing. That’s not the only thing that is made of carbon fiber, just about everything that is plastic on a normal bicycle is carbon on this Superveloce AGO. At least as beautiful as the carbon sheet metal are the unique wire wheels.
In addition to optically, MV has also improved the Superveloce subcutaneously. For example, the standard suspension has made way for state-of-the-art Öhlins suspension, being a TTX rear shock and a NIX upside down front fork. Both can of course be set completely to your own taste and smell. In addition, MV has mounted a new forged triple clamp with linear Öhlins steering damper with CNC support.
Have we had it then? No, the bike also has a new 5.5″ TFT color display, an Alcantara saddle and carbon fiber cover for the passenger seat, a unique Agostini signed tank with black leather belt and “Limited Edition” plaque and last but least a complete Arrow Racing exhaust system, although you are not allowed on the street with the latter.
The Superveloce AGO is being produced in a limited edition of 311 units, one for every win the 15-time World Champion has achieved in his career. Price and delivery time are not yet known.
