The Outdoor String Lights are available in a starter pack of 20, 40 or 60 LEDs. You can also purchase an extension of another 20 LEDs. Auto power on
All Nanoleaf lights can be switched on automatically via the app of the same name using an automation. You can easily choose a standard start and end time so that the lights are switched on and off automatically. Unfortunately, it is not possible to choose ‘sunset’ as a trigger. It is not a nuisance, but it would be a good addition, because the lights sometimes go on too early or too late. Of course, you can also use the automations in the Home app from Apple.

Bright and full colours
Not many people like the colorful LED lights, but the Nanoleaf lighting is not comparable to traditional RGB lighting. The lights are fuller in color and anything but standard blue, red, green LED light, the colors match Philips HUE lighting. It takes a while to find the right frequency and speed of the effect, it quickly becomes busy or disruptive. Personally, I prefer quiet mood lighting.
Discover new combinations
With the extremely advanced app, the possibilities are almost endless. For example, you can activate different scenes and compose them yourself, so you can give the lamps their own color, brightness or effect. At first, the application is busy and confusing, but fortunately, after a few days you will quickly find out how the app works exactly.
By default, the lights have several bright and colorful scenes. These create a magical atmosphere and you can adjust the speed, brightness and movement.
The Discover tab is a page in the Nanoleaf app that you will visit regularly. The tab allows you to download and install new scenes for your Nanoleaf products. There are thousands of light shows to download for all categories. With one tap on the scene you can view them in real time on your outdoor lighting and via the download button you can add them to your own library.

The Nanoleaf Outdoor starter pack consists of 20 lights, each 75 cm apart, which results in a total of 15 metres of wire with an additional 2.5 metres of cable to reach the power outlet.
