‘Nearly three-quarters of electric car owners think driving range is sufficient’

According to New Motion, 71 percent of drivers are fine with the fully electric car. These drivers are also well informed, as 86 percent say they know how to get the most out of their vehicle. Prior to this, almost half of those surveyed have already investigated before purchasing.

Although the same respondents said that less attention was paid to costs and possible (tax) benefits in the early stages, a majority of 62 percent said that saving money is ultimately the most important driver for electric driving. This is also the case in Belgium.

In Germany and France people drive electrically because of the driving pleasure and the experience. Only for the British is the contribution to a better environment of decisive importance.

The research by New Motion, assisted by the University of Groningen and the PR company Omnicon, was conducted among nearly 5,500 participants from various European countries. Half of the respondents came from
