Enjoy old-fashioned
Heavy bumper work, M-mirrors and four exhaust pipes. That can only mean one thing: the BMW 2-series Coupé that you see in action in these spy photos at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife is the brand new M2 Coupé!
Is there still room for a rear-wheel drive coupé with combustion engine between the invasion of electric models? Certainly! BMW will present a true feat in that category this year. The range of the 2-series Coupé is being expanded with the M2 Coupé!
How powerful will the new M2 Coupé be? That remains a bit of guesswork. It is certain that the M2 Coupé will again get a 2.0 six-in-line with which it will blow past the current top version, the 374 hp M240i xDrive, left and right. The previous M2 Coupé started life with a 370 hp six-cylinder engine. The M2 Competition presented in 2018 even had the machine of the then current M3 and M4 spooned into its nose, good for 410 hp. Absolute top version M2 CS eventually even reached 450 hp. Since the M240i is already more powerful than the previous base M2, we can only aim for the new M2 Coupé to already tap the 410 hp.
Long do you have on BMW’s new pocket rocket no more waiting. The BMW M2 Coupé will make its public debut in the middle of this year during the Goodwood Festival of Speed that takes place in July. In addition, this year we will be introduced to another new M model: the M3 Touring.
