New Dacia Logan now also on the road

The brand new third generation of the Dacia Logan has recently emerged as a test car. Now also Logan sedan brother has appeared camouflaged in front of the camera.

The current Dacia Sandero and Logan will finally be relieved in about a year. After more than eight years, they then transfer the baton to the new generation. The Sandero already appeared as a test sample last week, now it’s the Logan’s turn. As we saw with the Sandero, the nose gets a bit lower and rounder and the Logan gets sharper shaped headlight units. For the most part, we can mainly see the rest of the design as a subtle evolution of the current lines.

With the Logan, more than with the Sandero, it is noticeable that something more is being taken in a new direction with the C-pillar. The current Logan still looks a lot like the first generation in that respect, with the new Logan the roof line is clearly more gradual. We can only guess about the shape of the rear lights. It seems that they are getting slightly narrower and wider. Of course we are also particularly curious about the MCV intended for us, but unfortunately it does not show itself yet.

It becomes interesting what Dacia can use for a basis for the new Sandero and Logan. Currently, the Dacia still has a Clio base from 2002. Chances are that the new CMF platform, on which the current Clio is also based, will finally go to the Romanians. In terms of engines, we take into account that the new 100-horsepower 1.0 Tce replaces the current 0.9 entry-level turbo engine. We will know more later this year.
