Completely new model with a driving range of 320 kilometers
Fiat 500
Fiat presents the all-new 500! The new design and the electric drive make the city car ready for the future.
Fiat presents its first fully electric passenger car. And of course the iconic 500 can take the lead, but with a completely new look. The basic shape of the retro model is clearly recognizable, but otherwise everything is new. Striking elements are the two-part headlights, the recessed door handles and the lack of a Fiat logo on the front. Just like the current model, the new 500 is highly customizable, even inside.
The new model has grown 6 centimeters in length and width, which means there must be more room for maneuvering inside. The new dashboard looks neat and is finished with beautiful materials. On top is a 10.25 inch screen with a completely new infotainment system, which, like many smartphones and tablets, runs on the Android operating system. Various functions of the car can be operated via an app. The new Fiat 500 can drive autonomously on level 2, or steer, brake and accelerate independently on highways and B-roads.
Charge in five minutes
The electric motor in the Fiat 500 has a power of 87 kW (118 hp), which accelerates the city car from 0 to 100 km / h in 9 seconds. The 42 kWh battery pack is integrated in the bottom of the car. Thanks to the 85 kW on-board charger, the 500 with a suitable charging station can “refuel” 50 kilometers in 5 minutes. The battery is again 80 percent full in 35 minutes. Through various driving modes, with the names Normal, Range and Sherpa, the driver can determine how efficiently the car drives. The top speed of the electric city car is 150 km / h. At low speeds, the 500 plays classical music to warn pedestrian.
The new 500 is coming to the Netherlands in the third quarter of this year. From now on you can reserve the La Prima launch edition for a deposit of 500 euros.
