Renders have surfaced of a new iPad Air and what is immediately noticeable is that it is considerably larger. But what else has changed?
New iPad Air coming (and it’s getting bigger)
On renders from 91Mobiles the new iPad Air is rumored to be on display. As you can see in the image, the appearance of the next Air has remained almost the same as the previous version. But not everything has remained the same with this iPad.
There are a few differences. The new iPad Air is a lot larger, with a larger screen. Another striking difference is the new camera on the back. It now has a kind of excellent pill shape. The current Air still has a round camera. This design is somewhat reminiscent of the camera of the iPhone X and iPhone XS.
When you look at the iPad Air like this, it also looks similar to the current 12.9-inch iPad Pro. But with slightly thicker edges around the screen. This iPad is probably aimed at people who want a larger tablet, but do not necessarily need the functions of an iPad Pro. Consider, for example, functions such as ProMotion or the LiDAR scanner. This new iPad Air will probably work with the Apple Pencil 2 again, just like the previous version of the tablet.
Rumors continue to suggest that this iPad Air will have an M2 chip and will go into production sometime in the first quarter of this year. Some rumors even think that it could even appear in March this year.
