New Jaguar XF Sportbrake caught

Jaguar’s XF is due for a facelift given its age of five. Today it is the updated XF Sportbrake that has entered public in camouflage suit.

The current second generation XF was presented in 2015 and that means that the car could use a facelift from an age point of view. In the English Conventry, Jaguar has been working on a renewed version of its competitor for cars such as the BMW 5-series and Audi A6 for a long time. The renewed XF Sportbrake can be seen on a set of brand new spy photos. The fact that the car is leaving more and more of its camouflage stickers at home most likely means that the unveiling of the facelifted XF will take place this year.

You do not have to count on drastic external changes. Jaguar is giving both the sedan version of the XF and the Sportbrake station variant visible in these photos new bumper work and adapts the layout of the light clusters. Inside, the renewed XF undoubtedly benefits from improved use of materials, although the arrival of a completely new infotainment system will be the greatest novelty here. Just like cars like the I-Pace, the XF will have the latest variant of the Touch Pro Duo system. So a second screen on the center console, to be used to control the climate control.

The smaller brother of the XF, the XE, renewed last year, has had to do without an S version since its facelift, so it is still the question for the XF whether the 340 hp 3.0 V6 will return to the model. In any case, count on a range of sharpened four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. It is currently unclear whether Jaguar will equip the XF with 48v mild hybrid technology. Partner Land Rover already applies such hardware and software in cars like the Discovery Sports and Range Rover Evoque.
