The new Lexus NX is waiting in the wings for its official debut. That is not long in coming: Lexus indicates that the curtain will go off on June 12.
A bit of mustard after the meal is unfortunately the teaser photo that Lexus is releasing today. The new NX already appeared completely on the internet in February. So four months early. In terms of appearance of the NX, the unveiling on June 12 therefore has no more big surprises in store. The previously published photos (from photo 2) already showed that the NX certainly keeps the typical Lexus design language with the sharp folds and striking grille, but that the whole thing looks a little less extravagant than it is now. In the interior of the new NX you will find a completely new dashboard, which shows the necessary similarities with that of the Toyota Mirai. Striking: although it is really a new generation of the NX, many similarities with the current one can still be spotted in the basic shapes of the carriage. It is therefore possible that this is a strong development.
If the NX is still on a new basis, then it is logically that of the Toyota RAV4. This also gives an idea of ​​what can be expected from the drive. There will be an NX 350h anyway and it would have the 2.5 four-cylinder in combination with an electric motor, good for a system power of around 220 hp. There will also be an NX 450h+, which probably has the same petrol power source but linked to a stronger electric motor. The system power would, looking at the RAV4, come out at more than 300 hp. This means that fully electric driving up to approximately 75 km is probably also possible. Just under two weeks and then we’ll know more.
