New MacBook will be very important for Apple (for this reason)

Apple is about to release a new, cheaper MacBook and it is very important for Apple – we explain why.

New MacBook will be very important for Apple

The upcoming cheaper MacBook will be released this week. The new MacBook runs on an A18 Pro chip, has a slightly smaller screen, but still has all the core functions of the Mac. The biggest point of discussion is the price. According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple believes the price is so good that it could convince many Windows and Chromebook users to switch.

This is what you can expect

Rumors about Apple’s first cheaper MacBook have been appearing for almost a year. Here’s what the new MacBook has to offer:

  • A smaller 12.9-inch screen, probably with lower brightness and no True Tone support.
  • Aluminum housing and some nice color options.
  • A18 Pro chip from the iPhone 16 Pro series, possibly 8 GB of RAM.
  • Limited storage options, possibly only 256 GB and 512 GB.
  • Much lower price, possible from 599 dollars (700 euros).

Possibly a lot of demand

According to Gurman, Apple believes the low price will cause many buyers to switch from PCs and Chromebooks. He also reports that the product may be in high demand on launch day and that store associates have been warned that they may have to work longer hours. That is always the case when a new iPhone is launched.

Time will tell whether this new MacBook will really be a hit. We certainly expect the new MacBook to be very attractive, but it remains to be seen whether it will receive much attention from consumers on its first day. However, Apple seems to think otherwise, so perhaps there’s an important detail we don’t know about yet.
