For those who think a station wagon looks too ordinary but an SUV is too much of a good thing, Mercedes-Benz has come up with All-Terrain versions. The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate will also have such an adventurous All-Terrain version.
In the Netherlands, the last hour has struck for the current generation E-class. Later this year, the Germans will introduce a completely new generation of the E-class, which means that the last stock copies of the current ‘E’ are now on the hunt for an owner. The new E-class is back on the market as a Limousine and an Estate. It not only gets regular and sporty AMG versions. It will soon be back as an All-Terrain, as these photos of a packed test model show.
The wrapped Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate All-Terrain in these spy shots can’t hide its DNA. After all, we see black plastic trim around the wheel arches and the station wagon also seems to be relatively high on its legs. Count, among other things, on the arrival of silver-colored skid plates and a grille with two horizontal thick slats that differs from the grille of the other versions of the E-class.
The E-class Estate All-Terrain that Mercedes-Benz supplied in the Netherlands until recently was available as E200, E450 and as E220 d and E400 d. In addition, you always got 4Matic four-wheel drive. The C-class Estate is also available as an All-Terrain.
