Modern Love (season 2)
Modern Love is based on The New York Times’ romantic columns and weekly podcasts, with each episode focusing on topics such as romance, friendship, betrayal and family. After the success of season 1 , the second season will be released on August 13 . An episode lasts only half an hour and tells a new story, so that the eight episodes look nice. The cast includes Anne Hathaway, Tina Fey and Dev Patel.
Nine Perfect Strangers (season 1)
For the brand new series Nine Perfect Strangers, none other than Nicole Kidman plays the leading role. She takes on the role of Masha, who runs a wellness resort. Nine somewhat overwrought people from the city go to the spa for ten days to heal. In addition to regular forms of relaxation such as yoga and meditation, Masha has quite dubious exercises in store. She even gets her guests to dig their own graves. The question is therefore whether Masha’s controversial behavior does not backfire. This promising series is based on a novel by Liane Moriarty. The first season will air on August 20.
Cruel Summer (season 1)
Cruel Summer is a thriller series set in the summers of the ’93, ’94 and ’95. One day, the most popular girl in town goes missing. As soon as a hitherto shy girl takes her place, she is definitely the number one suspect. As a former misfit, she currently gets a lot of attention and, moreover, she behaves strangely. In Cruel Summer, nothing is as it seems, constantly misleading viewers. The ten-part series can be seen from August 6. It is striking that each episode is presented from a different perspective.
The Green Knight
The Green Knight has only just hit theaters, but subscribers will be able to watch this action movie on Amazon Prime Video from August 21. The story is set in the Middle Ages when, according to myth, King Arthur held sway. The king orders his somewhat spoiled cousin Gawain to teach The Green Knight a lesson. This knight appropriates himself more and more power and thus gets in King Arthur’s way. Young Gawain faces all sorts of obstacles and supernatural powers in his quest for The Green Knight. Will he be able to uphold the honor of his family?
Borat Movies
Fans of the Borat type can watch no fewer than three new films about the alleged reporter from Kazakhstan from August 27. Incidentally, this largely concerns remnants of earlier productions. In Borat’s American Lockdown, the journalist spends five days with two complet thinkers, while the striking journalist in Debunking Borat has conspiracy theories disproved by scientists. Finally, Borat Supplemental Reportings features extended scenes and never-before-seen clips from the previously released Borat Subsequent Moviefilm.
