Every month Netflix makes a slew of new series and films available. On iPhone we look ahead every month at the new offer with the best tips. These are often new series and films, but also old favorites that appear on Netflix.

1. The Umbrella Academy
In 1989, 43 children were born on the same day to women who were not pregnant the day before. Seven of these children with special powers were adopted by Sir Reginald Hargreeves. Now Hargreeves has passed away and six of these children, now in their 30s, are returning to The Umbrella Academy to find out what happened to their father. Oh, and the world ends.

2. One Day at a Time (season 3)
In our overview of the best Netflix series and films of 2018, we proclaimed One Day at a Time as the best comedy series of the year. Now the third season is already ready, no doubt full of hilarious and emotional moments. This season with old friendships, new loves and, above all, a lot of family.

3. Velvet Buzzsaw
A strange collection of paintings and other works of art is left by a deceased artist. This artist had asked to destroy these pieces after his death, but the young art dealer Josephina decides to sell them anyway. The paintings are a great success, but come to life for revenge.

4. The Dragon Prince (season 2)
The Dragon Prince, last year’s best new animated series, is getting a second season this month. The characters have been introduced extensively, so now it’s time for more adventures. This time, among other things, with the dragon prince herself, who has hatched from his egg. The group of heroes travels further east, where they meet new elves, among other things.

Russian Doll (season 1)
It’s Nadia’s birthday and has a fun party with all her friends, until she is hit by a car. Suddenly, her party starts all over again, until she falls down the stairs. Every time it starts again and you discover more and more about Nadia and her life. A bit Groundhog Day, but a lot more serious and exciting.
