New Porsche 911 Turbo (S) appears

The new Porsche 911 has been among us for over a year now, but as always, after the unveiling of the ‘base 911’, Porsche is busy again with various more powerful variants. The Turbo is once again looming in front of the lens of the espionage photographer.

At the moment, the range of the Porsche 911 is still quite clear. There are the Carrera, Carrera 4 and the S versions of both. The Turbo is a good step higher in the range and we see that once again pass by. Although the 911 of itself in the base is a bit wider than its predecessor, air happers in the wheel arches and a sturdy spoiler ensure that the Turbo stands out clearly. A slightly sharper shaped rear bumper and a higher placement of the license plate stand out.

The Turbo in the new 911 again a hefty blow power there compared to its predecessor. From now on the blown 3.8-six-cylinder boxer engine is said to be good for 600 hp (50 in addition) and the Turbo S would even reach 650 hp. Mild hybrid technology with 12 volt on-board voltage is said to contribute to this power increase. All in all it should be good for a sprint of 0-100 km / h that is faster than the current 2.9 seconds.
