New Range Rover Outlined

Land Rover is working on a brand new generation of the Range Rover. Land Rover is now showing a glimpse of that new Range Rover.

Since the launch of the first generation, the Range Rover has been a household name in the automotive world. The SUV has grown into an extremely luxurious colossus with which Land Rover is quite successful in the highest echelons of SUV land. The current generation Range Rover will soon be ten years old and that means that a successor is welcome. That successor is coming and perhaps sooner than you think. Land Rover reveals that it will unveil the all-new Range Rover on October 26.

The teasers actually confirm little news. In terms of design, the new Range Rover is an evolution of the outgoing generation. The new English top SUV will include recessed handles and promises to be sleek and, despite its impressive dimensions, quite minimalist in design. Gerry McGovern, Chief Creative Officer at Jaguar Land Rover, describes the new Range Rover as a car with a modernist design.

The fifth generation of Land Rover’s largest SUV, of which a stretched LWB version will also appear, will be placed on the Modular Longtudinal Architecture (MLA) platform, a basis that Land Rover would also use for the now discontinued electric XJ. Is there also an electric Range Rover in the pipeline? Never say never! In any case, we already know for sure that the new Range Rover will also have a Sport brother next to it, which will also come with a fierce SVR version. We will know more on October 26.
