Skoda Kodiaq teaser

The all-new Skoda Kodiaq is on the eve of its unveiling. As is good Volkswagen Group custom, the tension is increased once again just before the finish line.

Next Wednesday is the day; then Skoda presents the all-new Kodiaq. The Czech brand’s largest SUV has proven to be extremely important for Skoda in its six-year existence. Of the three million SUVs sold by Skoda to date, 841,900 were Kodiaq. It is therefore not very surprising that the manufacturer places quite a bit of emphasis on the arrival of the second generation. Last week Skoda presented us with some sketches of the newcomer, now we can get a glimpse of the real thing in a short video.

The most clearly visible is the interior of the new Kodiaq. Let that not really have many surprises in store for us. This was already clearly shown at the end of August. It is clear that physical buttons play a prominent role in the new Kodiaq, so good news for those who do not want to do everything on a screen.

Furthermore, the biggest news for the Kodiaq is not immediately visible at all: the new Skoda Kodiaq also comes with a partly electric drivetrain. In contrast to the outgoing Kodiaq, you can also use a plug. The plug-in hybrid Kodiaq has a 204 hp powertrain and can travel more than 100 km on a full battery. The Kodiaq is also a bit wider; the luggage space increases by 75 liters to 910 liters. More Wednesday evening!
