Apple has an update ready for owners of the AirPods Pro 2. What’s new? And what is the fastest way to install the update?

Not only the iPhone and iPad receive regular updates from Apple. The popular earbuds are also regularly provided with a firmware update. This update usually adds new features to the AirPods and also fixes bugs and issues. It is therefore very important to always install these types of updates as quickly as possible.
This latest update is only for the AirPods Pro 2 and not for the first generation AirPods Pro or the other Apple earbuds. It does not matter whether you have the version with a Lightning charging case or the one with a USB-C connection. Both AirPods Pro 2 versions will be updated to 6A303.
Apple says this update fixes issues and includes improvements for the AirPods. Twitter user Aaronp613 adds that the update also updates the USB-C charging case.
Your AirPods will receive the updates automatically when you place them in their charging case. You just never know when exactly this will happen. However, you can take steps to ensure you get the updates as quickly as possible. You do this in the following way.
- Place the AirPods in the charging case;
- Connect the charging cable to the charging case;
- Open the box and let your AirPods connect to your iPhone;
- Close the charging case of your AirPods;
- Place the charging case next to your iPhone and make sure that your iPhone is sufficiently charged.
