New Volkswagen Golf Variant shows up

In recent months, one camouflaged prototype of a fast version of the new Volkswagen Golf has been flying by, but the more practical consumer is mainly waiting for the arrival of the new Golf Variant. Today that spatial version of the Golf gives acte de presence.

The brand new Volkswagen Golf was introduced to the world in October last year and Volkswagen has already introduced GTI, GTE and GTD versions of its eighth generation Golf to the world. To date, however, the car has only been presented in hatchback form, but of course there is also just a Golf Variant in the barrel. A packed prototype of the new Golf Variant has now been caught in public.

Let’s be honest: if you know what the hatchback version of the new Golf looks like, it’s easy to imagine how the new Golf Variant will dry up. Roughly the B-pillar, this packed Golf is identical to the already unveiled hatchback versions. Behind this, the roof of the Variant naturally continues to the rear before ending in the station butt. Then of course the question remains: how many liters of luggage can the new Golf Variant carry? We don’t know for sure, but we aim for the new station version to bring a bit more stuff than its predecessor. The luggage compartment of Golf 8 in hatchback form is almost identical to that of the previous model, but with the generation change of technical twin brother Seat Leon we saw that the luggage space of the Leon ST increased by about 30 liters. Should the trunk of the new Golf Variant increase by a similar number of liters, the car should be able to swallow about 635 liters.

Volkswagen will probably introduce the new Golf Variant to the world this year.
