New York International Auto Show moved due to corona

The coronavirus has more and more consequences for daily life, but also for large events. After the Geneva Motor Show, the New York International Auto Show is now also the day. There are provisional new dates planned.

The New York International Auto Show was originally scheduled to take place next month, from 10 to 19 April. There is now a line through those data due to concerns about possible spread of the corona virus. The organization wants it to continue anyway, so they let it be known that it will be postponed to August 28 to September 6. The press days in the run-up to the exhibition take place on 26 and 27 August.

In the official statement about the relocation, the organizers of the trade show that they were very disappointed that this was necessary, but that the safety of the visitors was paramount. “For 120 years the motto ‘the show must go on’ has been deeply rooted in our DNA. It was therefore not easy to move the show, but our top priority remains the health and well-being of everyone involved in this historical event, “said organizer Mark Schienberg of the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association.
