Prodrive Hunter: €1.2 million offroad supercar

Prodrive Hunter: €1.2 million offroad supercarThe relatively small English manufacturer Prodrive has presented a very fierce off-roader. We are introduced to the Prodrive Hunter, a kind of supercar for next to the asphalt.

You may know Prodrive mainly from its activities in racing. The company has developed rally cars for rally heroes such as Colin McRae and Richard Burns, but also regularly develops race cars for the track. In 2006 it came up with the P2, a small crack nose based on a Subaru kei car and with the heart of a WRX STi. That car never went into series production. The Hunter that Prodrive presents today seems to have a different fate.

Prodrive Hunter

Prodrive Bahrain Raid Xtreme

The Prodrive Hunter is a direct derivative of the Bahrain Raid Xtreme off-road racer in which none other than Sebastien Loeb takes part in the famous Dakar rally. Because it does not have to meet strict restrictions, the Hunter is considerably more powerful than its racing brother, but according to Prodrive it must also be a lot more refined in every area. The Hunter shoots to a speed of 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds and has a top speed of about 300 km/h.

Like the Bahrrain Raid Xtreme, the Hunter has a biturbo 3.5 V6, but in the Hunter that machine produces over 600 hp and 700 Nm. The four-wheel drive Hunter is built around a tubular steel frame against which carbon fiber sheet metal parts are mounted. You will find more carbon fiber in the interior, because the seats are also made of this lightweight substance. The Hunter, which is designed by none other than the designer Ian Callum, who is mainly known for Jaguar, does not have a friendly price tag. Prodrive asks converted about €1.19 million for the colossus. Please note that this does not include local taxes.
