Nissan Townstar EV
Nissan presents the new Townstar EV commercial vehicle, which will also be available in a passenger version. The electric delivery van gets a number of technical gadgets from the passenger car market.
Nissan unveils the new Townstar electric van. Quality and functionality were the priorities in the design. Certain technical gadgets from passenger cars have been used in the commercial vehicle segment for the first time. One example is the 360-degree camera Around View Monitor, which makes it easy to maneuver in the city. The driver assistance system ProPilot offers support for autonomous driving (accelerating, following the vehicle in front, lane assistance, etc.) on the highway.
Nissan is building on the technology of the e-NV200 with the electric powertrain. The electric motor has an output of 90 kW / 122 hp, the torque is 245 Nm. The battery pack has a capacity of 44 kWh, which would give the Townstar a range of up to 285 km (WLTP). The Japanese brand grants an 8-year (or 160,000 km) warranty on it. Fast charging up to 80 percent can be done in 45 minutes. The towing weight of the van is a maximum of 1,500 kg.
The Townstar EV Van fits two Euro pallets. The car can carry a maximum of 800 kg of cargo, the load space is 3.9 m3. You can open and enter the cargo area thanks to sliding side and rear doors. If desired, behind a flap or unequal doors is possible.
