‘No more Apple event in 2021, large iMac and iPhone SE only later’

In 2021 there will no longer be an Apple event in which the company makes important product announcements. This reports Apple insider Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, which also reports which Apple products we can expect to see in 2022.

No more Apple event in 2021

Two Apple events took place this fall. In September, the new iPhone 13 models took the lead, in October the MacBook Pro 2021 was the main eye-catcher. An Apple event in November – unlike last year – will not come, Gurman expects Bloomberg.

The reliable Apple insider expects that the tech giant will not make any important revelations in 2021. He does know, based on sources, that Apple will launch a new MacBook Air in six to eight months. It has a completely new design and an M2 chip.

Gurman thinks the MacBook Air is getting its biggest redesign since 2010. Earlier, there were rumors that the Air will be available in the same colors as the 24-inch iMac. The edges around the screen are also white, just like the keyboard. It is still unclear whether the MacBook Air also has a notch, like the latest MacBook Pro 2021.

iMac and iPhone SE 2022

The successor to the 27-inch iMac and the new Mac mini will also see the light of day in the next calendar year, Gurman predicts. This includes the new iPhone SE and iPad Pro, which Apple hopes to launch in 2022. The Apple insider doesn’t mention a date, but we expect the release to take place in March or April.

Speaking of the iPhone SE 2022: there is still a lot of uncertainty about it. Reliable sources previously reported that the iPhone SE continues to keep the old design – with home button. Recently, however, rumors surfaced that the iPhone SE 2022 resembles the iPhone XR, a device with a borderless design without a home button.
