Notes will get useful features in iOS 18, which will make the lives of students much easier. This is going to change.
New features for Notes
Apple will release iOS 18 this year, which is said to be the biggest iPhone update in years. We can expect many new AI features and an updated design. For example, Apple Music, Pages and iMessage get useful functions. Spotlight also becomes much better through the use of artificial intelligence and a new health coach is added in the Health app. It now appears that Notes will also be improved in iOS 18.

Apple’s Notes app is being expanded in iOS 18 with voice messages and math notations. It is now possible to copy and paste recordings from the dictaphone into Notes. This becomes easier in iOS 18, because you can make a recording directly via the Notes app. It is then no longer necessary to import the recording from another app. Very useful, especially if you regularly have to record meetings, lectures or interviews.
Notes gets integration with calculator
In iOS 18, Notes also gains support for mathematical notations. This is not yet possible, but after the update, mathematical sums can also be written down correctly in Notes. It is not yet clear exactly how this will work, but it certainly means good news for most students. They currently still have to rely on other apps to write down mathematical notes easily and correctly.
According to rumors, the calculator will also be integrated into the Notes app in iOS 18. This is in line with the new function to make mathematical notes in the app. Little is known about the integration of the calculator, but it is expected that Notes will soon be able to perform calculations itself. This means you no longer have to use your iPhone’s calculator, because that function is processed in the Notes app.
iOS 18 unveiled in two months
Notes will therefore receive useful features in iOS 18, which will make taking notes much easier. The new features will be especially useful for students and business users. Still, the calculator in Notes is useful for every iPhone user, for example to keep track of your finances in the app. According to rumors, macOS 15 will also have a new app for the calculator.

We don’t have to wait much longer for the new features of Notes in iOS 18. Apple will unveil the new features of the update at WWDC in June.
