Fisker announces a new version of its Ocean. A roughly dressed and grafted for off-road use will become available.
Earlier this year, the Fisker Ocean made its public debut at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The Ocean is a fully electric SUV that should be available in at least North America from next year. Fisker is now showing a single image of a version that will add it to the Ocean’s future delivery range, a variant the brand describes as an Ocean with a ‘military package’.
In a digital message, Fisker sends the rear view of the ruggedly dressed Ocean. The special version is certainly higher on its legs, has special off-road rubber on its wheels and has a roof rack on its roof where the spare wheel has been given a place. Further details are not yet known, but we aim that the technical specifications are almost identical to those of the regular Ocean.
The Fisker Ocean has an 80 kWh battery pack that allows the SUV to cover 400 to 480 kilometers electrically. Fisker still does not mention motor specifications, although we do know that a version will be available that can sprint to a speed of 97 km / h (60 mph) in 2.9 seconds. Interesting is the intended starting price on the North American market. Fisker speaks of a starting price of $ 37,499 and with that he dips below the intended starting price of the Tesla Model Y (standard range) which should cost $ 39,000.
