OPPO has announced that its Find X5 Pro range will be unveiled on February 24 at a launch event. The phone will appear with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 from Qualcomm, that has already been confirmed. We also discuss what has already been leaked.
OPPO Find X5 launch
On February 24, OPPO will reveal everything about its Find X5 phones and the most powerful Find X5 Pro model. That Thursday, OPPO will hold its launch event at 12:00 p.m. which will also be streamed on YouTube. OPPO announced this in a press release. The phone will be launched with Qualcomm’s most powerful processor: the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
Night photography and ceramics
Furthermore, OPPO is teasing that its top phones focus on night photography this year and the brand has developed the ‘MariSilicon X’ for this. That’s an NPU or neural processing unit assisting the camera and enhancing photography and video with artificial intelligence (AI). “OPPO Find X5 Pro literally lights up the darkness with its advanced 6nm architecture, real-time RAW processing and up to 20x faster 4K AI performance,” OPPO writes in its press release.
OPPO also lifts a corner of the veil with regard to the design of its phones. The ceramic back is making a comeback and, according to OPPO, the surface structure ensures fewer fingerprints on the housing.

OPPO is rumored to be using a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display that has a QHD resolution. the device works with three cameras on the back: a 50 MP main camera, a 13 MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom and a 50 MP wide-angle camera. The Find X5 Pro will work with an 80W fast charger and it will come with a larger 5,000 mAh battery, compared to 4,500 mAh in its predecessor.
And you probably noticed that this time there will be a Find X5 and not a Find X4. That is because the number four in OPPO’s home country China is an unlucky number and we saw earlier that OnePlus also prefers to avoid the number.
