OnePlus is rolling out Android 12 for its three-year-old OnePlus 7 and 7T series. Owners of the OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro can test the beta. OxygenOS 12 has, among other things, an improved design and a Work Life Balance function.
Android 12 for OnePlus 7 and 7T Series
The OnePlus 7 and 7T series have now reached three years and that means that they are entitled to their last major version update this year. OnePlus is already fully testing Android 13 to prepare for its OxygenOS 13 update, but in the meantime there will also be a test version of Android 12 for its old flagships.
OnePlus unveiled the Android 12 beta for the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro on his forum and not much later followed a second forum post about the OnePlus 7T and the OnePlus 7T Pro. Interested users of these phones can test the improvements in Android 12, after which the stable version will be rolled out to all owners of the OnePlus 7 and 7T series.
New in OxygenOS 12
About the novelties in the OxygenOS 12 update has been known since the update first arrived for OnePlus 9 series. OnePlus has improved the design of its software shell so that more important things stand out more. In addition, the shell is more economical with the battery and OnePlus announced an improved Canvas function for its always-on screen.
