OnePlus Nord 5 tested as a complete middle class with good specifications

Last year we already tested the OnePlus Nord 4 that came out well. Now OnePlus comes with the successor and that is logically the OnePlus Nord 5. This is a high-end middle class device that is surprisingly complete. OnePlus distinguishes itself with telephones that protrude above average in specifications, in combination with a fast and clean Android/Oxygenos 15, advanced AI functions, assignable plus key and all at an attractive price.
There are two models the Nord 5 and the Nord CE5. The CE5 is the cheaper brother with lower technical specifications, but with a more attractive price. In this review we look at the most expensive and the Nord 5 for users who adore fast technology and many options.

Design
With 163 x 77 x 8 mm it is a large device with a weight of 217 grams, finished with an aluminum-colored plastic edge and back with a vertical camera island. It is elegant and minimalist with a minimum of buttons. The device is available in Marble Sands (sand -colored) Dry Ice (light blue) or Phanton Gray (Matt Dark Gray).

Processor and memory
The powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, together with 8GB DDR5X working memory and 256 GB of storage memory (ROM), ensures fast performance. Optionally, the device is available at an additional cost with 12GB RAM and 256GB ROM and 12GB RAM and 512GB ROM. This processor also offers a powerful Qualcomm Adreno 735 GPU for gaming at PC level on a telephone. Special measures have been taken to keep heat disipation under control with Cryo-Velocity VC cooling.

Screen, battery and connections
The 6.83inch Swift Amoled screen has a resolution of 2800 x 1272 pixels and up to 144 Hz, max. 1400 Nits and Ultra HDR and that results in a sharp and very clear image. The full DCI-P3 color reduction is available. The screen continues to work well with moisture and has a fingerprint scanner at the bottom.
The large 5200mAh battery gives a long duration of use and charges at lightning speed via 80 Watt Supervooc.
Connections are possible via 4/5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and the USB-C port. The antennas are further optimized.
The cameras are among the better middle class and offer AI functions: a 50MP main camera with OIS and Sony sensor, 8MP ultragro area and 50MP selfie camera. Videos are possible up to 4K with 60 fps.

Conclusion
The OnePlus Nord 5 is a complete device, including many AI functions, with excellent performance at an attractive price, including 4 generations of Android updates and 6 years of security updates.
