Did you press the send button too soon? No stress! On your iPhone, you can easily retrieve sent emails via the Mail app. You just have to be quick about it. OMT editor Sabine explains how it works.
Since the arrival of iOS 16, the Mail app for your iPhone contains a lot of new features. The most important are scheduling emails, receiving reminders and the ability to undo sent messages. You can read below how to do this.
Email on iPhone: this is how you retrieve sent messages
Open the Mail app on your iPhone. After sending an email, look at the bottom of the screen. The option is here for ten seconds Undo send. Press this and the email will be reverted to a draft. Edit the e-mail if necessary and send it afterwards, or press Cancel.
As long as the undeleted email is not in the folder Sent you know it worked. The message can be found in the folder Concepts, where you can delete or modify it. Then you can still send it with your iPhone.

Need a longer reflection period? That’s how you adjust it
Do you want more than ten seconds to undo a sent email? Then go up to the Institutions from your iPhone. Swipe down and press Mail. Press at the very bottom Time to cancel sending. Then choose between from, 10 seconds, 20 seconds or 30 seconds.
If the function on from state, you have no way to retrieve a sent email through the Mail app. At the same time, a sent message can only be retrieved on your iPhone if you change your mind within thirty seconds. After that time, the e-mail is definitively sent and there is no going back.
