Just take advantage

Opel will launch a completely new generation of the Grandland in 2024. Before the new model pushes the current one out of the showrooms, Opel will bring mild-hybrid petrol engines to the SUV. AutoWeek can report this before Opel itself makes it public. We even have the prices already.
More and more models from Stellantis brands are available with mild-hybrid powertrains. The facelifted Opel Corsa recently received them and now Opel is also bringing them to its largest SUV-type. Then we are of course talking about the Opel Grandland. The mild-hybrid combustion engines do not replace the non-electrified 1.2s.
Opel continues to supply the Grandland with the well-known 130 hp 1.2 Turbo. The three-cylinder petrol engine is available with a six-speed manual gearbox and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Opel Grandland with 136 hp and 230 Nm strong mild-hybrid drivetrain also has a 1.2, although in this case it is called 1.2 Turbo Hybrid. It is only available with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that integrates a 28 hp electric motor. Although the mild-hybrid Grandland is slightly stronger than the version with the non-electrified 1.2, it is marginally slower on the 0-100 sprint. The profit is therefore mainly in consumption. That is slightly lower than the Grandland 1.2 Turbo Hybrid at 5.5-5.6 l/100 km. For comparison: a Grandland with a regular 1.2 has an average consumption of 6.2-6.4 and 6.6-6.7 l/100 km with a manual gearbox and an automatic transmission.
The mild-hybrid Opel Grandland is available as an entry-level vehicle simply called Grandland from €39,499. This makes it more expensive than a similarly equipped Grandland with regular 1.2 and a manual gearbox (€36,999), but less expensive than a copy with 1.2 and eight-speed automatic (€40,249). Opel will launch a completely new Grandland in 2024. This will be a sister model of the Peugeot 3008 and that means that it will also be available with electric powertrains.
