Opel has put a price tag on the fully electric version of the Zafira Life. The electric variant of the passenger bus that succeeds the Zafira of yesteryear has a basic price of just over € 50,000.
Opel offers an electric version of the Vivaro: the Vivaro-e. This electric orderer is also available as a relatively simple passenger version, the Vivaro Combi. In the form of the Zafira Life, Opel has a higher-quality passenger bus on offer, which compared to the Vivaro Combi not only has an interior finished with a higher-quality material, but which also has better sound insulation and is much better in its belongings. A fully electric version of that Zafira Life has also entered the market: the Zafira-e Life. The Dutch price of this is now known.
The Zafira-e Life has a business starting price of € 43,099 (excluding VAT). The private buyer (including VAT) has lost at least € 52,150. That amount is for the 4.95 meter long version. Opel supplies the Zafira-e Life in two lengths: Medium (4.95 meters) and Large (5.3 meters). Initially, the Zafira-e Life is only available with a 50 kWh battery pack, good for a fairly modest range of approximately 230 kilometers. Versions with the larger 75 kWh package will follow early next year and have a driving range of 330 kilometers. In all cases, the front wheels are driven by a 136 hp and 260 Nm strong electric motor.
The Zafira-e Life can charge up to 100 kW on a DC charger. Depending on the chosen version, AC charging takes place with a single or three-phase on-board charger. An 11 kW charger is standard at the front, followed later by a cheaper version with a 7.4 kW charger.
